Neutering
If the dog(s) have not been neutered before adoption, the adopter must neuter the dog within 6 months from the adoption date or before their first birthday, whichever is the sooner.
On this anniversary RRR will make contact with the adopter to ensure this has been carried out. If it has, the adopter will be required to produce the vet’s invoice and if not carried out then another three months will be given to get this procedure done.
We are mindful of the fact that females are typically neutered three months after the first season and that large breeds may be left until 18 months for health reasons, so we will be flexible. If an animal remains unneutered after 18 months Rocky Road Rescue have the right to enforce the surrender of the dog back to the rescue. Under no circumstance must the dog be used for breeding.
